Life in Thailand Videos
Videos of slices of life in Thailand that focuses on people rather than the many tourist attractions.
This young lady needs to practice a bit more but she seems to be determined enough to keep at it.
Mango Sticky Rice is a favorite dessert. This lady works in the market near my home in Pattaya. It doesn’t take her long to prepare a real treat.
This lady has a very successful front of the shop out on the sidewalk nail salon business. As she works in the heat with no air conditioning as you can see she dresses for comfort.
Ladies in Thailand often use umbrellas to protect their skin from the intense sun. These two ladies are enjoying a stroll in the newly refurbished Central Pattaya Beach Front Park. The park extends about 2.5 miles along the beach front. Across Beach Road there are many cafes and bars for those who need a little refreshment along the way.
My friend Kal taking a cool swim at my serviced apartment swimming pool. It is a 100F plus day so she has the right idea to escape from the searing heat of mid afternoon.
These two young sisters are busy at play making their own world. Notice the big smile on the younger girls face. What a budding actress.
These two ladies work at a market and food fair about two blocks from my serviced apartment. They work from about five in the afternoon until two AM or so preparing oyster omelets. They do taste much better than they look. Add a little hot sauce and you are in for a treat.
This cute little fellow is kept in his table top prison by his fear to jump off the table. At least he doesn’t have to look through bars all day.
This happy lady is enjoying her relaxing day on the beach until the beer arrives. Judging from her face after the first taste beer is not her favorite beverage.
My best friend Kal working out at the Royal Suites Hotel gym. My apartment is adjacent to the hotel and owned by the same owner. This is great as I have the full use of the hotel facilities, including swimming pool, sauna, steam room, free tea service in the lobby, and room service. Kal looks like she is having fun but runs on the treadmill a lot better than she lifts weights.
This easy going young lady will bring you a good cold beer or a soft drink anytime you get a bit parched as you enjoy the beach at Pattaya Central. Only 50 Baht a beer, about $1.30 US. It’s a relaxing way to spend the afternoon.
The staff at the Royal Suites Hotel are always friendly and give great service with a smile. Here are two ladies that I enjoy saying hello to every day. Both are cashiers in the ground level cafe/bar. They are in the process of changing shifts.
This lady works in a night market selling tasty fried creepy crawling flying things like grasshoppers. For some reason, while I love Thai food, grasshoppers have never appealed to me.
The Central Pattaya, Thailand beachfront on a cloudy day at the start of the rainy season. There are still plenty of pretty ladies clad in little bikinis hiding under all those beach umbrellas. That’s where I’m headed next. Check back soon for more video clips.
