I am an American expatriate who has lived in Asia for most of the past 19 years with a year in Germany and 30 months in Pakistan tossed in for good measure.

I have long had an interest in the difference that leadership can make in the resulting quality of life for members of large and small organizations as well as for the citizens of nations. This has naturally fueled an interest in politics which is reflected in the focus of this blog.

Most of the material contained in Article Discovery is written and posted from my home in Thailand where I reside about 95% of the year. Recently retired, I find that maintaining a blog is a great way to stay busy and to stay involved with areas of interest.

In addition, being active in the blogging community is a great way to extend your friendships and to benefit from considering different viewpoints from around the world. Only by being informed about and being considerate of other opinions and unique local perspectives can one make intelligent decisions and judgments in today’s complex and often confusing world.
