Most People Would Hand In Lost Property, Would You?
A lot of people it would seem would not take lost property that they have found into a police station but keep it fopr themself and not let anyone know what they have found. Why Does This Happen? Are the people of the world turning into criminals or do people just not get a break and think that this is their lucky day?
Well the thing is, if it is something like cash then it is often understandable why people would not take it to the police station because let’s face it, everyone could do with a bit of extra money right? There are many people out there that feel that if you spot a bit of cash on the floor that you should keep it, well this is the wrong thing to do?
This could really work unless of course it ends up being a lot of money. This is when you need to take it to the police station right away rather than keep it for yourself. A large amount of money could be the money for a family of four for the month and could have easily dropped out of the pocket or bag when nobody was looking. People should take this into consideration. Think about it this way, would you care about getting £10 back if you lost it, not likely. What about £200? If you think this could be a yes, take the money in.
Jewellery is something entirely different and should be taken to be handed in straight way and there is a major reason for this and it is that jewellery can be very precious to people indeed as jewellery could have been handed down for years, could be a wedding ring or even a gift from a late relative but it doesn’t matter if it is amethyst jewellery, amber jewellery or even moonstone jewellery you should always return it.
Of course for the cash, that is up to you.
