Barack Obama Dinner Invitation

I just received an Internet invitation to have dinner with Barack Obama.

Well, sort of. Here is the way it works. For those who make any size donation by 11:59 pm EDT, Wednesday, June 13, they are qualified to be chosen to have dinner with Barack and three other Obama supporters. So it’s actually an opportunity to have a dinner for five with Barack being the host and picking up the tab.

I’ve previously mentioned that I thought Obama was running a very smart Internet campaign. I also made an earlier Obama post outlining his background and credentials.

I continue to be impressed by the man’s thoughtful approach in addressing vital issues. And his campaign seems to continue to gain traction as a grass roots movement.

His “dinner with Obama” donation raising campaign is clever. He emphazies his desire to listen to the “little guy” and reinforces his effort to build a national grassroots organization of voters who will actively carry his campaign forward.

According to Obama over 100,000 such voters have already made contributions. That is a good start to having a big parade down Pennsylvania Avenue.
